Principle Tasks:

The following list defines the main tasks of the R&D Software Engineer:
1. Be an active part of software projects, i.e. do software design, software implementation / coding, unit testing and hardware/software integration testing.
2. Assist with preparation of documents to allow projects to progress through the company's development process, and contribute to the writing of SW design documents and System specifications.
3. Set up software development environment as defined by ADVA
4. Make sure that products developed meet the requirement from market.

Customers (Internal & External)
1. R&D in China, US & Europe will be the main interfaces
2. Project Manager
3. PLM

Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience:
1. Fluent written and spoken English
2. Experience with JAVA, C and C++ programming
3. Experience with embedded WEB/SNMP. Or Experience with development of control/management plane or the board software or service software platform.
4. Knowledge about
o WEB and Network Management protocols e.g. SNMP. Or Control plane or the board software
o Linux or other Embedded Operating Systems
5. Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
6. Understanding of European & US culture and ways of doing business
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
8. Open, honest, loyal
9. Team player
10. Minimum 3 years work experience, prefer to 6 years?
