Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the planning & control the development & maintenance of computer software programs and systems, adhering to Information Protection policies and Business Continuity Plans ensuring compliance at all levels without supervision. In performing this responsibility, oversee build and release management updating the appropriate build and release processes. Manage the outsourcing of activity as appropriate, safeguarding best practice. Provide clear MI demonstrating the status of IT activity.

2. Manage the IT team activity, development and performance objectives.

3. Manage the prioritization and definition process for changes to any related system.

4. Work closely with Senior Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst to safeguard project timelines, quality of requirements gathering and quality of test approaches.

5. Oversee the full release process for Actisure and web releases through the various system environments ensuring that the appropriate co-ordination takes place between the IT team, JV IT, Regional IT, Activus, HP, and outsourced development teams and operations resources.

6. Act as the business agent for China in the day to day relationship with Activus, facilitating appropriate allocation of Activus resource, clear requirements for the engagement of Activus and business justification of Activus investigation and development activity. Drive the strategic development of Actisure in line with business needs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor / Masters Degree in Computer Science;

2. Has 8+ years appropriate experience in a senior IT role;

3. General understanding of .net implementations;

4. Excellent understanding of build and release management tools and processes;

5. Knowledge of at least one enterprise application server;

6. Strong experience in software development including task estimation and resource planning. Strong understanding of SDLC;

7. Excellent understanding of Database Schema modeling;

8. Understanding of the principles of n tier/client server architectures;

9. Strong understanding of Project and Programme Management methodologies;

10. Knowledge of development IDEs, source code repositories and release management objectives;

11. Strong experience with change management and defect tracking processes;

12. Good understanding of business processes, technicalities and priorities;

13. Experience of managing outsourced systems services;

14. Good problem solving skills;

15. Experience in managing multi-disciplined IT team;

16. Proficient in Chinese and English with strong written and verbal communication skills;

17. Strong leadership and people management skills;

18. Organised, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously;

19. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp the implications of requirements;

20. A high degree of initiative;

21. Ability to work unsupervised and in a team;

22. Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with colleagues of all levels;

23. Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with third party providers.
