Main Purpose of the job:
? We are looking for a suitable candidate to manage the new Innovation Technology Development (ITD) lab in Guangzhou.
? The lab is a dynamic environment where new equipment or system will be introduced continuously every year and the setup of the lab will have to change according to technology development trend.
? In addition, the lab manager shall manage resources between several different technologies that are vastly different in technical nature or material
? Besides managing the resources in the lab, the ITD lab manager will also need to be the gate keeper for the integrity of the technology development process.
? He or shall will be the key reviewer in all TD gate reviews to ensure integrity of the technology development
? From time to time, the lab manager will also involve in special task force in TD project and participate actively in problem solving

Essential responsibilities:
? Lead and manage the start-up of the technology development lab
? Manage and maintain the daily operation of technology development lab in Guangzhou, including safety and 5S
? Lead and drive new technology setup in the lab, including equipment and facilities coordination
? Ensure TD program are carried out in accordance to the development process and all necessary requirements from customer/ Market are met.
? Involved in special task force in TD program as necessary
? Be active contributor to add value to the team

Job requirements:
Education, experience & skills
? University graduate with minimum of 8 years of working experience in related field
? Experience in fast-paced consumer electronics industry will be added advantage
? Required to have entrepreneur spirit and experience that will help in managing the start-up of each new technology
? Well verse in quality management tools: FMEA, APQP, CPK, SPC, GR&R, 8D, root cause analysis, process control plan, quality audit
? Knowledge in plastic forming (injection, extrusion) and decoration (paint, print etc)
? Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and verbal.
