Purpose of Position
The Finance Officer assists the Finance Manager in the preparation and analysis of regular management and financial reports.
Main Accountabilities
1. Ensure you act responsibly and perform work duties in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety standards
2. Exercise initiative and decision making to respond to customer enquiries.
3. Support the Quality policy by ensuring Quality in everything that we do as per ISO9001:2008, TUV homologation, and conformity of Production requirements.
4. Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial reports
5. Participate in the Stock-take
6. Assist in the preparation of the monthly management & board reports
7. Manage Payroll including; payroll tax, maintaining insurances, retirement deductions, processing payments, setting up employee bank accounts and maintaining records
8. Assist with the preparation of half year and annual Financial Statements.
9. Assist in the maintenance of cash flow forecasts
10. Assist in producing daily sales analysis
11. Assist with the internal and external audits
12. Prepare the direct and indirect taxes including reports and filing returns with local government
13. Prepare VAT
14. Undertake general ledger control reconciliations.
15. Provide backup during times of finance team employee’s leave.
16. Maintain General ledger structure including the creation of general ledger accounts as required.
17. Maintain asset registers including reconciliations and updating for acquisitions and disposals.
Experience, Qualifications & skills
1. A relevant business or accounting degree is essential
2. CPA or CA qualifications is essential
3. Sound written and oral communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential Financial and management accounting practices including preparation of reports is essential
4. Experience in SAP is desirable
5. Experience with import / export
6. Experience in the design, development and presentation of effective financial reports is desirable
7. Performing reconciliations of General Ledger control accounts
8. Experience in the completion of statutory returns e.g. governmental tax and statistics returns
9. Experience in tax filing in PRC
10. Ability to provide assistance to people at all levels of the organisation
11. Strong financial analytical skills
12. Experience in the completion of statutory returns e.g. governmental tax and statistics returns
