Position Description:
A key staff member reporting to the in country Vice President of China Operations to lead production engineering and manufacturing efforts at our growing Shenzhen ISO 9000 and 13485 assembly facility.

The Manufacturing Manager has production engineering and manufacturing responsibility and shared budgetary authority for all Shenzhen based manufacturing staff, activities and facilities, totaling 40+ employees.

A key management team member, sharing goals and cooperating with other department leaders to develop and manufacture industry leading electro-mechanical consumer electronics, non-invasive medical devices and industrial products.

A creative and dedicated manufacturing engineer and proven project management professional with the leadership ability to unite design, production engineering and manufacturing efforts and promote a cooperative and productive work environment.




Duties and Responsibilities:
？ Key staff member engaging with Executive Management to set direction for production engineering, foreign manufacturing and facilities management processes and functions.
？ Manufacturing manager overseeing production engineering and manufacturing efforts at the Nextern Shenzhen facility, leading the day to day operations of these activities including:
？ Overseeing project transfers into manufacturing, ensuring product integrity, design intent and schedule are reached and costs are maintained.
？ Managing a group of Production and Manufacturing engineers with responsibilities for qualifying plastics, metals and electronics sub-tier supplier subcomponents and for assiting suppliers with tooling, fixturing and process development for final assembly.

？ Overseeing manufacturing activities of a ISO 9001 / 13485 – cGMP compliant electro-mechanical assembly facility – aproximately 40 line staff.

？ Champions implementation and ongoing maintence of cGMP and ISO 9000 / 13485 systems and procedures for product design and manufacturing.
？ Oversees technical management, qualification and engineering direction for sub-tier suppliers.
？ Shares budgetary responsibility (with VP of China Operations and CFO) for staff, facility and infrastructure management.
？ Cooperates with and shares goals with Design Engineering, Sales and Marketing in the timely scoping, development, delivery and support of new and ongoing product offerings.
？ Cooperates and shares goals with Sales and USA Operations in the timely and accurate quoting and completion of client projects, design transfer and manufacturing activities.
？ Cooperates and shares goals with Regulatory Affairs in the timely and accurate adherence to government agency requirements.
？ Leads, participates in, holds budgetary responsibility for and cooperates with Regulatory Affairs in the timely and accurate completion of facililities certifications.


Requirements:
? Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with a Masters degree and/or PMP certification preferred.
? Minimum 10 years related manufacturing experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Minimum 5 years manufacturing management experience including leadership of foreign manufacturing for regulated products, manufacturing engineering and/or quality engineering departments or activities.
? Proven ability to scope, document, resource load and manage the manufacturing and production engineering of electro-mechanical devices in compliance with cGMP and ISO 9000 and 13485 requirements.
? Experience with injection molding, metal stamping, forming and casting and electro-mechanical manufacturing.
? Strong desire to succeed, meet deadlines and achieve goals.
? Excellent analytic problem-solving skills.
? Superb written and oral communication skills.
? Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office; MRP / Production Management Software; Knowledge of electronic and mechanical CAD / CAM Software (High level of competence in either or both Mechanical or Electrical engineering and design software).
