Purpose of Position
To plan organise, control and lead internal and external manufacturing personnel and subcontractors to achieve planned production requirements for all production and assembly at TJM Shenzhen.

Main Accountabilities
1. Supervise, motivate, and support the supervisors to achieve daily targets
2. Lead, inspire, coach and support the company values within the Production team;
3. Initiate recruitment process when needed to cope with increased production activities;
4. Conduct formal performance reviews carry out appropriate management of underperforming employees.
5. Oversee all employee scheduling, leave requests and overtime;
6. Provide the necessary training, resources and information for employees to allow them to perform to the best of their ability;
7. Ensure employees receive regular and focussed safety training as required by TJMSZ Company Policy
8. Conduct and/or authorize Operational related training for production team
9. Perform essential functions to ensure overall stakeholder satisfaction and quality service of TJM goods
10. Establish and maintain effective communication with production staff, management and key stakeholders;
11. Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure Supply Chain commitments are met through production of high quality product that meets end user delivery expectations;
12. Prepare, update, and communicate the production schedule to relevant stakeholders
13. Support the Quality policy by ensuring ‘Quality in Everything that we Do’ as per ISO9001:2008;
14. Lead the team to implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles assisting the completion of all work orders with a minimum of waste and damage to equipment;
15. Schedule, delegate, and ensure performance of all equipment and services with regular maintenance activities;
16. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the building asset;
17. Advise the General Manager of TJMSZ or delegate on capital improvements needed to increase company productivity;
18. In conjunction with relevant TJMAUS personnel, evaluate production equipment purchases/leases and conduct cost/benefit analyses; and
19. Liaise with the Development Engineer – Suspension (TJMAUS), R&D department, TJMSZ and the Sourcing Manager, to ensure new product development is included in the Production schedule.
20 Accept responsibility for day-to-day production activities of the TJMSZ production requirements
21. Plan, schedule, strategize and oversee all production activities while continually servicing quality supply and maintaining profitability;
22. Ensure the effective and efficient planning and scheduling of employees and equipment to reduce production bottlenecks and supply problems;
23. Manage the coordination and control of all jobs and/or work orders;
24. Organise workflow according to workload and targets to meet delivery schedule and to complete assigned jobs;
25. Coordinate and maintain the order entry standards and procedures for the company
26. Approve exceptional or extraordinary production jobs and specifications;
27. Develop, manage and maintain a workflow system that interfaces order entry, assembly, surface coating and final packaging of product
28. Update and maintain the SAP based Master Resource Planning (MRP);
29. Inform the General Manager of TJMSZ of any equipment and production problems in a timely fashion;
30. Assists R&D TJMSZ, with estimating cost of manufacture and provide assistance to ensure the accuracy of all product BOMs;
31. Receive and purchase materials to ensure efficient production of product.
32. Accountable for meeting the department production and quality goals,
33. Guarantee satisfaction and value for our internal and external customers;
34. Maintain personal productivity and quality standards that make possible attractive financial returns so that the TJM can continue to provide a high level service to our customers and ensure job security and career growth for our employees .
35. Comply with all TJMSZ Health & Safety requirements;
36. Comply with all Chinese Government Manufacturing Regulatory and Statutory requirements
37. Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals, ensuring Company policies & procedures are met.

Experience, Qualifications & skills
1. Technical college or university qualification
2. Previous supervisory experience of 10 or more employees in a similar role
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
4. Intermediate level Microsoft Word and Excel
5. Current operating knowledge of or ability to quickly understand the SAP business Enterprise system in particular MRP modules
6. Good mathematical skills
7. Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
8. Excellent interpersonal skills
9. Sound understanding of Chinese automotive after market component manufacturing
10. Understanding of and subsequent application of lean practices in manufacturing
11. Preference for a working knowledge of operations including an automotive workflow system for both suspension assembly
12. Ability to perform all production functions when necessary
