Job Title: Print Specialist
Location: Shenzhen, China

The Role:
As the Packaging Design Technician you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating
Amazon Kindle packaging implementation and production approvals across multiple programs.
You will work with the Packaging ID team to manage the execution of packaging structure and
printed artwork with our print suppliers, manage minor updates to artwork and mechanicals
and work with Packaging Engineering and Operations staff to solve design or production issues
as needed to support design intent. Having experience with substrates, print technologies,
color matching and control, you will lead press checks, examine finished samples, and approve
First Article quality before mass production.
? Support various pre-production packaging initiatives
? Lead press checks and provide FAI approvals
? Troubleshoot print production issues and provide solutions
Basic Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Print Production, or equivalent
? 7+ years experience in consumer electronics or related industry
? Experience in the following:
o 3D design and production
o Print Production best practices
o Adobe CS6 file management
o Press checks
o Working direct with print suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
? A passion for fine printing, fit, and finish
? Ability to manage multiple projects with constant changes
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” in collaborative team environments
