Job Description and Responsibilities
This position reports to the China VP Sales/Business Development and has responsibility for Entropic’s business development activities with China cable and telco operators for all product lines, primary focus of the position is to develop and manage key operator and strategic partner relationships, integrate operator feedback with the internal product management and sales teams, drive growth through technology/product adoption by getting operators to commit to Entropic technology, and build Entropic’s brand image.

The position is responsible for business development and relationship management with operators, strategic partners, and end customers, specific responsibilities include:

? Driving regional operator and strategic partner identification, engagement and “account” penetration plans to secure design commitments for Access products as well as bundled “Access + STB” solution
? Building strong relationships with key Cable and Telco operators and strategic partners.
? Closely working with the local sales, marketing and engineering teams to get design wins
? Promoting the company and the technology solutions in the conferences and exhibitions
? Collecting and providing feedbacks on roadmap development and product directions
Required Skills and Experience
The position requires a Bachelors degree in engineering or similar technical area, or equivalent industry experience (an advanced degree business/engineering degree desirable), 10+ years’ relevant business development, strategic marketing or sales experience and deep engineering/technical competency related to the semiconductor industry including both digital and RF circuits. Candidate should also be familiar with the network architectures currently deployed by US Telco and Cable MSOs and have an understanding of future network architectures being considered.
Qualified candidates should have solid relationships with key operators, partners, and consumer product companies, a demonstrated track record of success in building value-added customer engagement/relationships, and most importantly, driving those relationships to results in securing new design commits and/or wins. Experience with the set-top box or DTV industry is a strong plus.
The position also requires excellent communication skills. The candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and English, must be a great team player and self-motivated and result-oriented, with pleasant personality.
