PURPOSE:

The role of the Assistant Audit Manager is to assist the Manager/ Senior Manager/ Director, IA to perform risk assessments and scoping in connection with audit, report audit results, and manage site audits including review of workpapers prepared by Junior/ Senior Internal Auditors in the absence of the Manager/ Senior Manager/ Director, IA. In addition, to perform risk-based financial and operational audits, in order to identify risk, enhance controls, spread best practices, and to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and/ or other relevant regulations in Flextronics sites, generally within a geographic region.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform Compliance Reviews and other financial and operational audits.
• Interact with relevant Company’s management to prepare the risk assessment and scoping of the planned audits.
• Lead audit assignments as instructed by the Manager/ Senior Manager/ Director, IA.
• Provide assistance to the Forensic team to investigate fraud and other ethics and compliance issues as required.
• Assist in analyzing risk potential and recommend appropriate audit locations and activities
• Assist in preparation of the planning memo, notify audited locations and assist in preparation of all preliminary, draft and final reports
• Provide evidential support for all report recommendations.
• Identify and document controls or lack thereof to protect assets from loss, evaluate areas of risk and detect and prevent fraud
• Prepare adequate workpapers as required by type of audit
• Prepare recommendations for consideration or implementation considering materiality, pertinence to audit and documentary evidence
• Communicating our audit findings and recommendations to management and preparing audit report on assigned audits
• Stay abreast of laws and other regulatory issues that impact corporate governance and control
• Attend internal or external training sessions to improve the audit skills and knowledge of the company’s business.
• Stay abreast of relevant accounting principles and pronouncements as well as all relevant Corporate policies
• Interact with all levels of management at audited sites and at the regional level. Interact as required with external auditors
• Manage all aspects of audits in the absence of the Manager/ Senior Manager/ Director, IA.

Requirements:

• Work experience: 6+ years.
• Management skills required.
• Areas of Knowledge: Auditing, General Accounting and Finance.
• College Degree: Accounting, Finance or Business and Administration
• Languages: strong written and verbal skills in English and Chinese, desirable, in another language used in the region of assignment.
• IT skills: Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and main ERP systems (mainly BaaN).
