Title: Field Application Engineer

Department: Sales - Distribution
Reports To: Regional Sales Director

Location: Futian District, Shenzhen, China

Summary
Responsible for field service of new and existing applications; must have significant experience in programming and troubleshooting control systems; foster and develop critical relationships with customers, ensuring strong, long-term partnerships. Ensure customers' current needs are continuously being met, and identify future needs or opportunities to help customers achieve their goals. Provide personal technical coverage to customers
Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Provide application assistance for all products, including technical support relevant technology
- Select/screen inquiries for new product designs based on technical merit, current product offering, sales potential and technology trends
- Participate in and prepare technical training for customers, trading partners and internal staff
- Track new technologies and identify potential products/applications
- Represent company as the technical expert
- Council application engineers on use of existing products and on development of new products
- Provide technical support to customers all over India and co-work with sales in product promotion
- On site support to customers, e.g., trouble shooting, training, Q&A etc.
- Report of on-site troubleshooting and relevant knowledge and experience documentation
- Help customers and sales team with product promotion
- Assist customers in selecting correct products or designs to best suit their requirements
- Provide specialized system conceptualization and configuration service
- Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications
- Investigate and analyze customer application problems on delivered products to determine problems and any potential liability
- Prepare documentation for specialized seminars, applications notes, and technical papers
- Feed back appropriateness of fit of products to customer's need to marketing and applications engineering team
- Responsible for identifying and clarifying any technical issues related to new or exiting products, and clearly communicate findings to the business unit product lines

Qualifications

Education and Experience
- A college degree in a related field is required
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering or field application support
- 3+ years of industry experience

Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
