General Purpose of Job
Carrying our research and development activities and providing customer support in the area of water treatment/process.
Prioritized Essential Functions and Responsibilities
With minimal supervision and much decision-making:
? 60-70% Conducting routing R & D activities
? 30-40% Visits customers to explore customer needs and to introduce our technology.
Other general responsibilities:
? Understand the science behind the water.
? Testing and development of new product application for water process.
? Understand industry and customer requirements to identify opportunities for existing and new products into the market.
? Communicate results fully to the relevant stake holders.
? Technical Report writing.
? Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
? Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
? Understand that management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job at any time.
? Manage a technical team
Education and Experience
? A minimum of master degree in chemistry or related field is required.
? Minimum of 10 years of work-related experience.
Specific Skills and Knowledge
? Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs
? Knowledge of application process in water
? Knowledge of surfactant principle
? Knowledge of corrosion
? Ability to work as part of a diverse and high-energy team
? Ability to communicate and interact effectively both internal and external
? Ability to promote discussions with others, provide guidance, and make persuasive presentations
? Ability to identify and address critical quality, production, safety and environmental issues during the product development cycle
? The ability to self-manage and progress work programs under general direction from the Regional Business Team and communicate widely within the team.

? Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.
? A significant level of innovative, creative thinking and application is critical for job success.
? Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
