The Role:
Design Engineer within Pure’s Shenzhen Hardware team, responsible for developing a diverse range of class leading consumer electronic products.

Overview Description:
Play a highly significant part in the design of technically exciting and challenging consumer electronic products. Get a buzz from seeing what you’ve designed for sale in a wide variety of high street shops – a feeling that’s second to none! As a Hardware Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced environment as part of our multi-disciplinary team of experienced and enthusiastic engineers. The cutting edge products you create will lead the market.

Primary role responsibilities will include:
Design and development of electronic products for the worldwide consumer electronics market, including:
·Circuit design (analogue, digital & energy management electronics)
·Component evaluation and selection to suit your design
·Prototyping, test and debug of your circuits.
·Qualification of the completed product, field and approvals testing
·Introduction of your product to mass production

Required Skills:
·3-4 years’ practical experience of board level electronics design, preference given to embedded system design
·Excellent digital and analogue electronics design skills
·Practical experience of designing for good EMC and ESD performance
·Familiarity with standard test equipment
·Reasonable written and verbal communication skills in English
·Excellent time management

Desirable Skills:
·Relevant knowledge of designing cost optimised CE products.
·Experience of developing products for high volume production
·Experience working with streaming audio products
·EDA design tools for schematic capture and PCB layout techniques would be an considered as an advantage (tools e.g.: Altium Designer, OrCAD/Allegro, PADS, etc)
·Experience of taking designs through type approval
·Experience working with China manufacturing partners

Working Environment:
·Working within a suitably sized team of electronics engineers but sharing a mixed discipline office with software, mechanical, test engineers and procurement teams

Qualifications:
Degree in Electronics or associated subject, or equivalent experience
