Responsibilities
-Part of hardware development team, work closely with design team and operation ME
-Interface with PCB fabrication supplier to address TQs/EQs
-Develop and Maintain DFM Procedures and Checklists
-Participate NPI products design review, including Schematic, PCB, and Mechanical design
-Provide guidance/recommendation on PCB materials and technologies
-Support component selection to ensure the component meets DFM requirements
-Support CAD Librarians creation to ensure the Libraries meet DFM requirements
-Support physical failure analysis of PCBA assembly
-Interact with hardware engineer and PCB layout designers to select layer structure /stack-up
-Audit and assess PCB vendor production lines, including manufacturing techniques and quality control systems
-Follow up design-related DFM issues and optimize DFM process to implement corrective actions in development phase
-Follow up PCBA prototype build and ensure proper feedback (DFM report, Testability) are given to the design team
-Remain on top of industry standards and technologies
-Manage 3rd party PCB layout house, with being capable of rules setting, layer setup, component placement and signal routing checking

Key Qualifications
-BS/MS degree in Electronics or related field
-Minimum 7+ years' experience in PCB and PCBA industrial or relevant
-Expert with Design for Manufacturability in the process and technologies of PCB fabrication and PCBA assembly
-Expert with DFM requirements in material selection (PCB material, components), and in PCB design including placement and routing
-Ability to address PCB fabrication Technical/Engineering questions
-Strong knowledge of industry specifications, especially IPC and JEDEC specifications
-Knowledge of industry standard CAD tools such as Orcad, Concept, Allegro
-Knowledge of industry standard DFA tools like Valor
-Fluent oral and written English
-Good communication and negotiation skills

Desired Skills & Experiences
-Proficient with high-speed board design/layout
-Experience in CAD/PCB design or/and managing out-sourced PCB design
-Familiar with all phases of hardware development including: schematic entry, manually generated constraints and/or understanding the requirements of the constraints and board layout
-Direct experience with high volume manufacturing or/and new product introduction
