Descriptions

• Evaluate the functionality of telecommunications systems and circuit cards returned from customers for failure analysis.
• Troubleshoot the system to the subassembly level and determine the need for either repair or replacement.
• Troubleshoot the circuit to the component level and repair.
• Test and configure repaired systems and circuit cards to ensure proper functionality.
• Clearly document fault analysis and resolution.
• Work with design engineering when necessary to identify design flaws, implement new configurations or features, and to resolve root cause failure modes.

Requirements:

• BS Engineering degree strongly preferred; Associate degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years experience in testing computer/data networking/telecom systems and subassemblies.
• Experience with Linux, Solaris, or UNIX based systems.
• Experience with Ethernet switches, network cards and processors.
• Thorough understanding of computer systems architecture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service, and people skills.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and meet the expectations of customers on tight deadlines.
• Compact PCI, ATCA, Data Networking and Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
• Scripting and programming experience, preferably using Expect, Python, and bash.
• Test Plan and Test Procedure writing experience preferred.
