The Senior Fitting Technician is taken responsibility of provides technical inputs, knowledge and suggestions in the area of sewing, construction, fitting and grading, corporate with technical team, merchandisers and factories to allow for feasible production of a saleable / quality product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sample evaluation: Check factory samples on all status regarding measurement, Tech Pack compliance, construction and workmanship.

· Sample comment report: Make sample comments to help Corp Technical Service for fitting use. Consolidate fit comments sent from Corp tech with GIS original sample comment and communicate to factory for production.

· Tech Pack checking: Check Tech Pack on all status to ensure all information is correct and reflects the requirements and changes requested by the corporate office.

· Work with Corp tech: Input technical advice and discuss with Corp technicians on all technical issues such as measurement, grading, knitting, garment construction. Join the fit meeting with NY design / tech team, to give technical support and provide fit comments.

· Work with vendors: Interpret the instructions from NYTS & sample comments / corrections clearly to the factory, work with factory technicians to solve problems. Can gear up the vendors on their quality and workmanship

· Work with GIS merchants: Answer queries from GIS merchants to help them understand the requirement & measuring method, etc. Support them to request for good quality products.

Line Review meeting: join seasonal Line Review meeting with GIS merchants, Testing & QA, to call out potential risk of garment, suggest alternative to ensure quality improvement by keeping aesthetic design intent and production friendly for productivity. Carry out sampling process by working closely with merchants and laundries. Work closely with laundries in developing innovative samples.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge, skills & abilities:

· Good technical knowledge in sweater construction and fitting.

· Good knowledge on machine knitting technique, ability in validate knitting formula is preferred

· Fashion sense.

· Good command of English.

· Computer literate.

· A team player.

2. Minimum educational level:

· College degree – better major in garment/yarn constructions.

3. Minimum experience:

· 6-8 years relevant experience.

4. Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel 30% of time, including on short notice
