Material Planning Analyst

General Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining materials/purchasing data, supply data and information to other production departments, coordinate contracts, maintain Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and create and maintain outsources parts schedules.

Principle Accountabilities:
1. Assists in auditing data for accuracy and preparing summary reports, spreadsheets, graphics and charts based on the analysis of data.
2. May assist in the preparation of recommendations to management based on the analysis of data.
3. Collects, compiles, analyzes and presents various types of data.
4. Prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, and charts based on analysis of data from multiple sources, which may include but will not be limited to customer bills of material reports, staff metrics, PPV metrics, and PPV form tracking.
5. May create and/or maintain databases in support of data collection.
6. Audits data. Challenges and resolves data integrity issues, including but not limited to quotations.
7. Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues related to metrics.
8. Where applicable, suggest process/communication improvements relative to metric tracking activities.
9. Tracks materials financial performance, and initiate corrective actions when required.
10. Daily review of RMA transactions
11. Create weekly purchase orders including all client parts
12. Receive data entry for clients
13. Update content list and item master
14. Prepare DPT packing list for LCAD repairing
15. Window to client material (consigned parts) supply
16. Window to client bulk RMA service

Specialized Job: May be required for certain positions. These could include one or more of the following duties:
1. May support inventory control, supply chain management, material planning and scheduling.
2. Develop commodity spend profiles/breaks-downs: lead time profiling, inventory positioning, and site execution to price.
3. Establish common pricing analysis tools.
4. Provide detailed bill of materials analysis by site.
5. Perform general reporting and analysis activities for score carding of suppliers.
6. Validate site pricing through implementation of a common cost review and pricing process.
7. Assist in the supply chain transfer and risk management for NPI.
8. Provide PPV targeting, tracking and asset velocity.
9. Design, manage and control all data analysis tools

Job Requirements:

1. Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
2. Prefer a minimum of 5 year of experience in materials or related field.
3. A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
4. Proficient in MS office applications.
