Responsibilities



Morningstar's Global Equity Data Business Unit is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and results-driven individuals to work on Data Analyst roles to support our development of rapidly growing Equity database for Japan Market. This position is based in our Shenzhen office and will report directly to an equity operations team leader. The individuals will be responsible for:



· Collecting and analyzing equity fundamentals data for Japan market, and taking ownership in data quality controls to ensure consistent and high quality data are manufactured in order to meet product requirements;

· Coordinating with both internal and external contacts to resolve all related data issues timely and effectively;

· Assisting team leader / manager in discovering, gathering and drafting requirements and specifications to further enhance the functionality, usability and visibility of fundamentals collection platform and process;

· Reviewing work procedure and working with technical & project management team to create analytical tools in streamlining the data collection and quality assurance processes;

· Participating into other data projects as required.

Qualifications



· Bachelor degree or above, in areas of Accounting/Finance/Economics;

· 1-2 years of accounting experience working for a Japanese company is highly valued (2-3 years work experience for SENIOR data analyst position)

· English level CET-6 is required; skillful interpretation of Japanese language is highly valued

· Any certificates on CFA/CPA is a plus

· Good understanding of project management basics

· Strong desire to learn investment related information and data application

· Passion in details and pursuit of perfection

· Positive attitude towards work and life

· A good team player with good communication skills
