Packaging Engineer

POSITION

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Packaging Engineer is responsible for physical / structure design of all packages in CZ factory and its material selection, saving cost through choosing the right package.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Familiar with structure design, and the selection of material of the packages in the field of consumer electronic products, particular the individual gift-box, blister & clamshells, and the master cartons
• Work under pressure to guarantee the packaging of the new products will be ready on time
• Specify the packing method, avoid product and individual package being damaged during transportation from production line to final destination.
• Familiar with the requirements and conformance with ISTA standards
• Able to work with Oracle system, allocating part numbers from/to the System
• Perform regular QA testing to ensure the packages meet ISTA requirements
• Ensure all spec. of packages and Finished Goods and bills of materials (BOM) are released and updated in the System on time.
• Communication with Project Manager to ensure all issues and challenges for development to be updated and solved timely;
• Evaluate the package quality from development and delivery and work closely with supplier for improvement;
• Change improper package, save unnecessary cost
• Other works assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanics Engineering, and Packaging Engineering;
• At least three years experiences in packaging industry or taking similar role;
• Willing to work under pressure, and OT during weekend if needed
• Good communication skill and project / time management;
• Good English skill both in writing and speaking;
• High passion in package development and problem solving & following;
• Good ability to read and draw the component and construction drawings;
• Familiar with plastic injection and blowing mold development and processes technique;
• Familiar with Solid-works, AutoCAD, Pro-E etc. is preferred.
