Position: Program Manager, Greater China Advanced Services

Essential Job Responsibilities:
? Drive AS growth for Greater China, work as a business manager.
o Must have keen business acumen; demonstrates this through execution of business objectives
o Independently identifies complex issues and resolves complex problems that impact strategic direction.
? Build strong capability for AS project management and kick off customer facing Program Management Office (PMO):
o Drive PM process adoption, project documentation and promote PM community in Greater China AS.
o Handling complex projects.
o Define account based customer coverage strategy.
o Drive to become a chargeable service offering.
o Identifies and works on issues that affect our ability to provide world class services globally.
o Drive PM enablement program.
o Organize and facilitate project review and audit process.
o Interface with APJC PMO and ensure alignment of strategy and operations to drive consistency
? Be more relevant to service sales team and account team.
o Assumes leadership role in Cisco Services or cross-functional teams to drive service delivery and/or service improvements
o Leads major cross-functional projects affecting Cisco business, product, or service leadership
? Program manager related responsibilities:
o Manages large project(s) with moderate to high risk. Solution requires collaboration among cross-functional teams and customer and partners will be impacted. There are multiple inter-dependencies, and the solution is not clearly defined.
o Ensures Program Delivery: Ensures that the overall program structure and program management processes enable the component (project and track) teams to successfully complete their work and that the project and track deliverables can be integrated into the program’s end product, service, results and/or benefits.
o Oversees Program Lifecycle: Conducts a needs analysis, understands root cause, establishes vision and defines high-level strategy for program implementation. Links to organization and company goals and strategies.
o Oversees PMI Processes: Advocates PMI best practices at the project level and executes PMI best practices at the program level.
o Manages Program Communication: Manages program related communications within and outside of the program. Proactively identifies and communicates impacts to internal and external stakeholders. Freely provides information regarding program progress and scope.
o Defines Program Success Metrics: Identifies and socializes program success metrics. Ensures project success metrics are aligned and rolled-up to the program.
o Builds Team: Exudes energy and enthusiasm. Promotes and recognizes the contribution of team members, and creates a positive work environment.
o Resolves Program Issues: Identifies program-level issues and understands the interdependencies and severity of project-level issues. Approves scope/cost/schedule/ quality changes through the program sponsor(board).
o Assesses Program Risks: Proactively identifies program-level risks and addresses unresolved project-level risks that demand resolution at the program level. Communicates program risks to appropriate stakeholders and develops a risk mitigation strategy and a contingency plan.
o Ensures Integration: Track project interdependencies, milestones, and deliverables across various project tracks to ensure successful project implementation and rollout. Ensure that the program follows PMI best practices and does the proper planning to limit downstream risks and issues.
o Manages Program Costs: Estimates program investment and request budget allocation and reallocations. Ensures program is within budget. Tracks, reports, and closes out expenses and contractual obligations.
o Manages Program Resources: Seeks to develop team members. Engages in transition and succession planning. Tracks resource utilization and resolves resource constraints and/or conflicts that affect multiple projects within a program.
o Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Identifies and establishes partnerships with stakeholders to build support, secure sponsorship, and ensure alignment for program outcomes, end-products and/or solutions. Manage the relationship between the program and the program's executive sponsor(s). Manage expectations, drive alignment and raise issues as they arise.
o Drives Improvement: Creates or re-engineers processes, resources, structure to gain productivity and improve overall program.
o Drives Change: Identifies impacts of program, builds awareness and support for change within the organization.
o Leads Organizational Change: Maintains a broad view of program objectives and organizational culture and processes. Aligns organizational/ strategic direction that affects project and program goals and objectives. Manages stakeholder expectations.
o Establishes Standards: Establishes program processes, program structure and norms, roles and responsibilities. Ensures that projects under the program are organized and execute in a consistent manner.
o Creates a Program Roadmap: Analyzes internal / external environments. Identifies and prioritizes projects and/or primary tracks of work, integration opportunities and translates it into a long-term implementation plan.

Supervision Given/Received:
? Works with little to no direction mindful of division goals and objectives.
? Independently identifies complex issues and resolves complex problems that impact the strategic direction of the AS.
? Resolves intra/inter team conflicts effectively.
? Work is only reviewed and measured for accomplishment of objectives and overall success of department.
? Manages(may virtually) large group of project staff, possibly in multiple locations, including project managers, project engineers, vendors, subcontractors or partners for the duration of the program. Collaborates with internal or Customer/account team to determine program goals and objectives. Work is reviewed between critical program milestones.

Related Business/ Technical Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:
? Prior Project/Program Management experience in the deployment of leading edge, multi-vendor technologies in a highly complex commercial environment. Has completed corresponding certification in Program Management, e.g. PgMP.
? Complete understanding of and experience in leading a team in applying all elements of Technical Consulting.
? Proven business and technical expertise and extensive customer service engineering experience.
? Thorough understanding of networking technology and strong technical knowledge of company products
? Strategic understanding of and broad experience in applying all elements of customer service engineering to customer solutions..
? Excellent working relationships with other customer service organizations within Cisco and with appropriate business units.
? Ability to formulate and deliver complex presentations throughout Cisco and to customer technical departments.

Education and Experience:
? Typically requires BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 10+ years related experience. Has demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
? Should possess 10+ years-prior project and/or program management experience.
? Experience in customer support, knowledge of inter-networking technologies and the competitive marketplace.
? Experience in PMO establishment to drive delivery excellence and business transformation is a plus.
? Experience of major system integration projects, outsourcing, or managed services is a plus.
