Job Description:

As an Engineer and Senior Engineering Project Team Lead, you will lead a team to solve complex, global technical problems or create critical components and systems. You will manage the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor and coach enterprise team members, and deepen your professional network.

In this role, you will also deepen your knowledge base of Caterpillar's products, technologies, processes, services and systems, which you will use to:
? Provide technical guidance on needs analysis and initiate ideas;
? Communicate results to global customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units;
? Lead global teams in the design of new products, processes, components, and systems;
? Complete projects on time and on cost; and
? Acknowledge and raise customers' and management's awareness of trade-offs between time, resources and quality.
Lead team of 10-15 direct reports
Develop local Chinese suppliers to mfg world class components for CAT in order to drive cost reduction
Deliver concurrent product/process development projects to facilitate localization of components and drivetrain systems
Develop and train people
Communicate well in English, spoken & written

Requirement:

Required Qualifications:

BS degree or higher in Engineering
15+ years of industrial experience including assignments in manufacturing/process engineering, quality and product engineering
Demonstrated understanding of precision machining (gears, castings, shafts), Heat Treat, working knowledge of APQP & TS 16949, knowledge of geometric dimensions & tolerances
Formal leadership role as a supervisor or manager
Excellent Communicator who is Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, both spoken and typed.
