The Program Manager (PM) will report into the Program Management Team Manager. You will be joining the fast growing Trackpad module business unit within Cypress. You will be representing the world's #1 capacitive touch supplier: Cypress Semiconductor. You will be providing leadership at the world's largest Laptop and Consumer Electronics companies all over the world. The primary purpose of the Program Manager is to manage the execution of customer projects, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful project production. The PM will act in the role of managing critical customer designs from the time of customer commitment through Mass Production release. The PM will interface directly to the Cypress manufacturing organization, Cypress Design Engineers assigned to the projects, Field Applications Engineers, Field Sales, and directly with the customer. Additionally, the PM assists in mobilizing Business Unit resources necessary to properly execute customer projects. The PM does not act in either a business development or sales capacity; the PM manages committed projects, and ensures the timely completion of tasks and critical milestones. The PM must efficiently manage customer projects in order to decrease the time it takes for Cypress to deliver a production worthy Trackpad solution to mass production, and to decrease Cypress' Time to Money. The primary responsibilities are as follows:
1. Create and execute customer project plans and revise as necessary in response to changing project status or requirements.
2. Perform project risk planning and drive risk mitigation
3. Manage day-to-day operational tasks of a customer project
4. Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
5. Efficiently apply Cypress best-practices, operational procedures and project standards
6. Manage customer project development communications and expectations
7. Prepare and release technical proposals geared at solving our customer's issues with current projects.
8. Interface directly with Cypress Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Field Applications Engineers, Field Sales, and directly with the customer.
9. Handle all of the above functions on multiple projects at any one time.


Job Requirements:
? Ability to manage cross-functional system solution development
? Ability to lead a cross-function group towards a common goal
? Proficient in Microsoft Project (.mpp) schedule generation and tracking
? Ability to understand engineering requirements and communicate them concisely in project development specifications
? Ability to interface directly with design and manufacturing engineering to drive project completion and execution
? Excellent customer-facing negotiation skills
? Ability to document project requirements and details for engineering execution
? Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at any one time
? Ability to communicate project status internally and conduct project review meetings for milestone completion
? Takes initiative and sets high goals
? Customer service orientated
? System level knowledge and program management required
? PC peripheral and industry control experience is preferred
? Fluent in English (both written and oral)

Minimum Education & Work Experience:
6-8 year experience in managing either system solutions or managing multi-faceted solutions (i.e. combination of various engineering skillsets) is preferred
Highly technical background with experience in product or field marketing positions a plus. Experience in Applications or Field Applications a plus.
Bachelor's Degree (4 year college) or above in CS/EE/CE
