Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Quotation for import shipment

Receive new orders placed by clients

Liaison with overseas offices regarding shipment

Follow up with the client or the K+N overseas office on shipping documentation

Liaison with airline once the shipment is registered in order to confirm flight details

Prepare documentation and submit to the Customs Department (as and when required)

Submit Bill of Entry to Customs via EDI

Follow up on customs releases, stops, detains and inform the client accordingly

Once released from Customs, give SARS release with relevant documentation to the transporter in order to arrange delivery

Preparation of the cost sheet and invoice

Ensure invoice is delivered to clients and follow up on payment of invoices

Follow up with the airlines that all cargo was received and no damages recorded

Ensure that cargo is drawn from the airlines before storage is effected

Ensure that POD is received from transporter

Lodge claims with airline when cargo is damaged

Follow up of Accruals of all costs within 48 hours after invoicing with Invoicing clerk

Control monthly finalisation of FSL

Requirements:

• Associated degree or above
• 1 - 2 years basic air operational experience
• Familiar with international trade terms
• Good English, ability to write and read is necessary
