Role Synopsis

Assists QC & Lab manager to oversee QC laboratory operation

To be responsible for leading a team consisted of QC technicians and accomplish daily operation.

To assist other teams in new product development, formulation optimization and customer complaint

To be responsible for following up company lab HSSE regulations and Global QA Manual regime

Key Accountabilities

Coordinate and oversee daily quality control activities, ensure proper operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and standardization of reagents to build up confidence in equipment’s performance and test methods

Responsible for the maintenance of formulation

Maintain and update test methods used in the laboratory and provide relevant training to lab technicians

Set up new test equipment, develop new procedures and provide relevant training to lab technicians

Make investigation and conduct troubleshoots for any plant quality related issues

Update/add new products/test requirements information in Lab Information Management System

Be involved in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and TS 16949 and act as internal auditor to carry out audit work in plant level and close the gaps existed in QC & Lab area

Operate QC and Lab in a safe, tidy and efficient style by conducting regular or irregular housekeeping

Help to handle customer complains, visit customer if necessary

To monitor the consumption of chemical reagents and other consumables in the laboratory and inform the Laboratory Manager when stocks need to be replenished to make sure Lab operation continuity

To carry out all required administrative work punctually and to the required standard

Assist or involve in company project

Essential Education

A bachelor degree in Chemistry or equivalent

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

Knowledge of Lubes industry test standards and their implementation

At least 5 years laboratory experience

Familiarity with main test equipment items

Rich formulation management and project management experience

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in English and Mandarin

Strong self-motivation

Interpretation skills

Skilful computer literate
