Primary Job Responsibilities
Improving Trust is a top focus for eBay’s core business, and the Policy Operations Manager for Counterfeits (APAC) will partner with global, cross-functional teams (Global Anti-Counterfeit Operations/Policy Team, Brand Protection) to create and implement strategies to significantly reduce Counterfeits visibility, counterfeit bad buyer experiences and counterfeit losses.

? Leveraging eBay’s industry-leading infrastructure for identity, verification, risk modeling, and policy rules deployment to create business strategies that optimally combine on-site web-flows, back-end detection, automated & manual reviews, and restrictions and consequences
? Partner with Business Units and Operations to create and execute complex Counterfeits Prevention Strategies
? Analyzing and making business decisions weighing the overall E2E customer experience
? Partner with operations centers to quickly troubleshoot new issues as they arise
? Be a bridge between global counterfeit operations, brand protection and functional teams.

Job Requirements

? 2-3 years of experience in online fraud prevention, risk management, and/or information security.
? In-depth understanding of the tools, processes, internal stakeholders, and business and community aspects associated with fraud operations
? Strong business analysis and consensus-building skills for initiating, developing and gaining consensus of policy operations strategy
? Conceives of process / program improvements, drives to completion
? Ability to independently lead implementation of operational initiatives in a diverse and complex cross-functional team
? Ability to independently develop tradeoffs between business and operational requirements, developing solutions that maximize operational (staffing, costs, tracking and reporting, etc) benefits and achievement of business requirements (legal risk mitigation, seller impact, community benefits, etc).
? Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders. Skilled in written communications and in presenting complex material in small or large group settings. Ability to present to senior management regarding projects
? Solid functional knowledge of eBay marketplace, Trust & Safety and operations organizations and practices; familiarity with mission and motivators of other eBay organizations a plus


Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
