职位描述
The Fraud Analyst is responsible for being a subject matter expert in all aspects of Counterfeits and infringing practices occurring on/off eBay including infringing listings, infringing items, high risk selling (branded items in particular) and fraud. This person should have experience in CS queues as well as identifying and communicating issues through analysis of confirmed fraud and counterfeit cases. The Fraud Analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the globe to communicate trends that can be turned into detection opportunities and CS training.
Specific responsibilities will include:
? Familiarity with current fraud policies/controls in place to enable thorough assessment of potential new exploits.
? Leveraging various tools and member facing site(s) to identify new and active counterfeit and fraud trends and communicating findings.
? Occasionally work referrals in the various fraud queues to maintain an expert level of understanding of CS workflows and trends.
? Investigate and review accounts with high risk or suspicious activity through listings, messaging, bidding, and evaluating irregular patterns.
? Effectively communicate findings through documented and clear summarization of trends work streams.
Identify fraudulent activity on the eBay site and provide feedback to Rules team, Applied Research, Risk Analytics, Fraud Policy and CS Ops.
? Build effective working relationships with all levels of employees and management both inside and outside of Counterfeit (Legal, Policy, Tools, and Systems).
? Create presentations and be comfortable presenting in front of small or large groups, and all levels of employees and management.
? Proven ability to quickly identify fraudulent activity visible on the eBay site.
? Able to work well under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
? Demonstrates a high level of initiative in regards to resolving problems and multi-tasking, with minimal or no supervision.
? Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
? Flexibility, willingness to grow and change with the needs of the Trust and Safety organization.
? Ability to work well with other teams/departments.
? Must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously while demonstrating the ability to solve problems and provide solutions in creative and effective ways.
? Quick learner that can take charge of an initiative and work hard, smart and fast to achieve the desired result.
? Skilled at receiving feedback and implementing recommendations for continuous improvement.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
