1/ Job title: Mechanical Engineer

2/ Mission
Mechanical developments for UPA (Ultrasonic Park Assist) systems and RLT (Rain Light Tunnel Sensor) systems P1 projects
Support site -30 plan implementation

3/ Main responsibilitiesReplacement
(function)
- Responsible for Sensor positioning, ECU packaging and bezel design.
- Check for design fit, functionality and feasibility.
- Create component detail drawings (Customer).
- Support cross function team (CFT) function and continuous improvements.
- Prepare design concepts and provide input to cost estimating.
- Develops original design for products from initial concepts through production release.
- Additional tasks such as define painting validation and packaging specification as assigned.
- Supplier follow-up (technical solution evaluation, tool manufacturing and sensor painting)
- Support product standardization
- Maintain ERP of technical informationVICC R&D

Others: Save nature resources, energy and paper & obey the EHS laws and related requirements, implement the EHS regulations, procedures and work instructions.

4/Reporting relationship
Reporting:
- Hierarchically to VICC R&D Manager – Detection Systems
- Functionally to VUS Mechanical Design Department Manager
Managing people: N/A

5/Skills
Experience in plastic part development, rheology and injection process (molding and overmolding)
Knowledge in stamping and bending process, surface plating, connectors, assembly of micro-mechanic equipments
Skilled in CAD conception (CATIA V5 and AutoCAD)
Experience in technical support for high volume production of plastic components
Productive, meeting sometimes-tight schedules with high-quality work
Experienced in handling of measurement equipment
Excellent Japanese language skills in writing and speech
Highly motivated to work in a technical and automotive environment

Experience/Education/Qualifications requirements
Bachelor’s degree in design engineering
3+ years experience
Efficient with Catia V5 and working knowledge with V4
Strong interpersonal skills; creativity with independent judgment; definite degree of skill, accuracy and coordination
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience: CAD software such as Unigraphics, I-DEAS, Pro-E
