Position Summary

To plan, create, deliver and coordinate professional development seminars or resources (free and paid) in order to enhance the division’s educational profile and customer reach nationally.

Key Duties

To work with account and marketing managers to develop plans to maximize potential sales through professional development product and services.

To write and deliver professional development content (presentations, seminars, OTA etc.) on behalf of OUP on a range of topics and titles in order to support specific local or international campaigns, face-to-face and online.

To write or commission and edit promotional and pedagogical talks for trainers and consultants to deliver, in order to improve the quality and quantity of seminars/workshops which can be delivered.

To develop and support the professional development offer in markets as required, including relationship building with key stakeholders (internal and external), and coordinating freelance trainers.

To support the marketing team by providing pedagogical and methodology input and a teacher-perspective as requested, such as in website, email campaign.

Candidate Experience and Attributes

Degree level qualification and / or recognized high level TESOL/TEFL qualification

Substantial teaching experience, especially in Mainland China

Substantial EFL teacher training experience

Strong knowledge of ELT course books and materials

Responsive to local markets 'needs

Sensitive to socio-political & eco-political environments in Mainland China

Editing skills

English native-speaking with some editorial experience

Good command of spoken Chinese and fair level of written Chinese

Computer literate (interactive whiteboard, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)

Organizational skills to manage freelance product presenters and teacher trainers

Willing to travel extensively

Persuasive and assertive

Willing to learn

Adaptive to changes

Excellent presentation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good commercial and marketing senses
