JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/工作职责：

Providing an interface between the Account management in HQ and the project management team in China. Balance Customer expectations and the practicalities of design and manufacture.

Work on the REQs with high efficiency from customers within required time-fame

Ensuring the mechanical design of the device meets specification.
- Produce original mechanical designs as necessary.
- Oversee the work of the vendor and suggest changes/pick up errors/identify deliberate short-cuts.

Project manages the mechanical design, and the manufacturing of prototypes.
The successful candidate should have strong project management skills.
Work with China team colleagues and the vendor to ensure the prototypes devices are manufactured on time, on budget and to specification.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/任职资格：

Skills and Knowledge:

University degree (ideally with post graduate experience) or equivalent.

Hands-on knowledge of contract manufacturing process in China.

Proven experience in mechanical design for Electronic products. Familiarity with the entire electronics design life cycle from concept to manufacturing.

Experience working with 3D CAD packages. Hands-on knowledge of design flows from Solidworks, or ProE.

Hands on knowledge of CNC machining.

Experience with low volume injection molding of plastics and associated tooling.

Hands on experience with machining objects for metals and plastic and knowledge of the differing material properties.

Deep knowledge of costing of production processes, and costing model of Chinese vendors.

Experiencing with rapid RFQ & prototyping.

Ability to perform design independently or use and extend an existing design.

Key Competencies

Excellent people management skills: as the centre develops it is expected the successful candidate may be responsible for hiring and managing a multi-person mechanical design team including work allocation.

Good interpersonal/communication/presentation skills.

Efficient time and project management skills.

Excellent problem solving skills.

A native Mandarin speaker is essential

High proficiency in both spoken and written English.
