职位描述
SUMMARY: Responsible to work at LT Manufacturing site to plan, direct, and implement Laird Technologies HSE program and adopt the philosophy that all accidents can be prevented. Focuses on employee health and continuously improving the work environment and will aide in conducting and auditing our operations. Promote worksite or product safety by applying knowledge of industrial processes and mechanical, chemical, and human performance principles. Identify and measure potential hazards to people or property, such as the risk of fires or the dangers involved in the handling of toxic chemicals. Develop procedures and designs to reduce the risk of injury or damage. Must be able to anticipate, recognize, and evaluate hazardous conditions, as well as develop hazard control methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Champion of the EMS for ISO14001-2004 and OHSAS 18001 at resident LT manufacturing site.
· Active role in all aspects of LT RoHS/WEEE initiatives in support of customer defined, environmental regulatory requirements for all LT products.
· Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions; rendering opinions on new and existing equipment and procedures; investigating violations; recommending preventive programs at the site level.
· Guides and promotes safe work performance by developing safety systems, policies, and procedures; developing safety campaigns, communications, and recognitions; training and/or arranging training for managers and employees at the site.
· Complies with safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations; directing local site management on needed actions.
· Enforces safety policies by conducting inspections and assessments, reporting statistics, counseling managers and employees.
· Promotes a safe environment by coordinating and cooperating with regulatory agencies and safety groups.
· Drives the use of a safety information database by developing information requirements and implementing at the local and central level.
· Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
· Assists local site management in maintaining a qualified safety staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
· Maintains safety staff job results by coaching, counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE and relational database.
· Excellent communication skills, must have good English in both written and spoken
· Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
· Ability to work with management to establish project Milestones, and executes project plan with little supervision required.
· Ability to work toward defined objectives with little direct supervision
· Demonstrated understanding of new product development processes and work flow
· Detailed knowledge of at least one SBU product line, with general knowledge of related or other SBU product lines.
· Works well in a Team environment and guides the team as the “expert” in a particular field.
· Demonstrated experience in participating on multi-disciplinary product development teams
· Good knowledge of a particular technical area within the job responsibility.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· B.A./B.S in Environment Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
· Ability to travel 10-30% of time
· 5-8 years of industry experience
