SUMMARY: Leads all operations engineering globally in a business unit within the Company. Manages team in the roles of process and manufacturing engineering. Provides key liaison function to product management, supply chain, operations, and quality to leverage internal technical know-how to customers, manufacturing, and product development. Provides oversight to program execution by project teams and functions as lead engineer as needed to maintain technical direction consistent with company objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates and executes capital programs related to equipment and process, and engineering programs related to cost improvement.
Drives Lean Manufacturing principals and programs at all manufacturing sites in coordination with site management.
Ensures continued day to day manufacturing operations function with full efficiency including throughput, capacity, yields and product quality working closely with other functional leaders.
Participates in new product development from initial stages through full production scale-up ensuring fitness for manufacturability
Leads new process development in conjunction with commercial and technology needs.
Contributes to business unit strategy with key focus on operational strategy related to capacity, global operational footprint, cost effective operations, and process capability.
Conducts project reviews for all programs within scope ensuring timely and effective completion of goals.
Responsible for facilitating global technology programs, production site transfers and product material or design changes.
Leads and guides Lean, quality and safety systems and standards within operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of key process areas relevant to the business unit.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a technical staff in a manufacturing oriented environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with outside customers and communicate and align with other functional leaders within the business unit.
Ability to manage multiple programs occurring simultaneously, while maintaining high attention to details.
Travel up to 50% of workdays, including extended durations and international travel.
International business experience in operations and engineering.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor.s Degree in Engineering with Master.s Degree preferred
5+ years experience in a similar position
10+ years operations or engineering experience
Previous managerial experience
