KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set the strategic direction for the Mechanics Commodity Group… long term definition of sourcing strategy, vendor selection, cost roadmap, etc.

- Oversee the management of strategic supplier relationships, including management, reporting and metrics

- Definition of pricing roadmaps, benchmarking objectives. Approval of individual commercial agreements for the commodity group

- Take Commercial and Technical accountability for the commodity group

- Management of the ‘AVL’ Approved Vendor List

- Provide Supply Chain Representation to the assigned ‘NPI’ Projects

- Manage outside subcontractors, in support of NPI activities

- Work with Engineers to ensure purchase specifications are optimised

- Resolve escalated conflicts effecting the assigned commodity group

REQUIREMENTS:

- Ten (5) years’ experience in Supply Chain, with a minimum of five (3) years’ direct experience relating to the electronics commodity group*

- Five (3) years in a management or cross-functional team leadership role

- Five (3) years of experience in the area of material management with an understanding of manufacturing and supply chain concept

- Five (3) years of experience in commercial negotiation.

- Extensive experience working with SAP/Agile.
