KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure the vendor base Preferred Vendor List 'PVL' technically aligns to the needs of the business, performing regular benchmarking and technical assessment.

2. Define and maintain the 'Maintenance of Qualification 'MoQ' for the vendor base

3. Responsible for the creation of new vendors in the Agile and SAP databases

4. Definition, implementation & maintenance of material incoming inspection levels & source lists

5. Technical prime for End of Life 'EoL' notifications & suppliers PCN's, liaising with Component Engineering Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineering, Materials Science or Physics.

2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in related position, preferably in appropriate field from mechanical engineering, production or management.

3. Ideally the candidate would have significant experience with working within the 'mechanical' commodity set

4. Good knowledge for mechanical component manufacturing techniques

5. Proficient computer skill in MS Office with experience of SAP/Agile an advantage.
