Reliability Engineer.-Instrumentation

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
? Work with project team and provide instrumentation reliability input for instrumentation/control system specification, control panel layouts, loop/schematic design, conduit/cable tray layouts, cable schedules, network architectures and so on
? Develop QA/QC process to ensure hardware quality, installation quality and participate in factory testing and verification
? Work with other functions to identify spares and develop storage specification to ensure spares reliability
? Define KRP (key reliability parameter) for instrumentation and control system and work with other functions to set up limits and develop monitoring program
? Participate in instrumentation installation and pre-commissioning
? Develop reliability strategies by utilizing RCM, vendor recommendation, and INVISTA best practice and set up in appropriate system
? Be in charge of Mechanical Integrity program for instrumentation and ensure robust programs and process in place
? Lead and ensure SIS program is equipped in design for safety
? Lead/facilitate site RCA for instrumentation issues and develop strategies to prevent its happen again
? Set up robust reliability system and database and perform instrumentation reliability, availability and Maintainability analysis and suggest improvements.
? Develop critical instrumentation calibration and maintenance procedures to ensure work reliability and quality
? Provide instrumentation discipline support to operation and maintenance

Technical Skills & Competencies
? Familiar with chemical process instrumentation applications and maintenance improvements, with special emphasis on analyzer, interlock, flow-meter, transmitter.
? Familiar with process control system design including all aspects delivering a representative sample to a process instrumentation
? Good knowledge of physical methods of analysis and parameters used for qualitative and quantitative assessment such as Oxygen, vapour pressure, boiling point, viscosity, PH, etc.
? Good knowledge in the use of Reliability Centered Maintenance and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis techniques.
? Good knowledge in Root Cause Failure Analysis for instrumentation issues
? Knowledge of spare parts stocking strategies and the advantages/disadvantages of various strategies.
Experience
? At least 5+ years' experience in Petro-Chemical industry as instrument engineer
? Demonstrated knowledge and experience with analyzers
? Knowledge of engineering reviews, HAZOP, other safety studies and hazardous area classifications
? Experience of analyzer design and testing is preferred.
? Experience in RCM, RBI, TPM is an advantage
Education
? BS degree in Automation, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent with higher level degree an advantage
Language Needed
? Fluent in English and Mandarin both speaking and writing.
