Key Accountabilities:

• Manage a production operations team in a prototype and low volume production environment, working closely with the technical engineering team, QA and materials teams to ensure production schedules are planned and achievable.
• Be responsible for continuously improving the performance of the team & ensure that production targets are efficiently set and achieved.
• Maximise production efficiencies and performance across all manufacturing areas ensuring KPI’s are achieved.
• Review readiness of raw materials, labour, equipment and tooling, to ensure processing schedules and production orders can be achieved.
• Develop or implement production tracking and quality control systems, to analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and other key operational areas, to detect production problems early.
• Work closely with the QA team to set and monitor product standards, reviewing samples of raw materials and production samples during processing, to ensure finished products meet the required cosmetic/process quality levels.
• Develop and maintain production reports and ensure smooth co-ordination of production shift handovers
• Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance and modification, and implment employee suggestion or involvement programs.
• Be responsible for inventory management and materials control
• Be responsible for the recruitment and training of all production staff.

Rigourously enforce facility, equipment and production area safety and partake in the definition of the safety procedures

Key Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or similar
• Extensive experience in a technical environment working within the consumer electronics or high end apparel industries
• 8+ years experience in a Production Supervisor or Production Manager role in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated problem solving, production process troubleshooting and continuous process improvement skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience working on projects with high level geometries and tolerances & high cosmetic requirements
• Be a dynamic and hands on individual with a can-do attitude
• Fluent in both Mandarin and English
