Key Accountabilities

• ？ Analyze product drawings and specifications, in order to set-up wide range of prototyping equipment and tooling for prototype builds.
• ？ Have a demonstrated ability identifying and understanding key equipment parameters and determining the process steps required for part manufacturing.
• ？ Work closely with engineers and technicians on developing equipment programs and tooling for new products.
• ？ Work closely with the Quality team to ensure finished parts meet the tolerance and cosmetic requirements outlined in the product specification.
• ？ Be responsible for highlighting any equipment or tooling issues to the engineering department in a timely manner
• ？ Participate in troubleshooting with the engineering team to address machining/manufacturing issues.
• ？ Be responsible for recording equipment, tooling and processing parameters for all new products & generate SOP’s
• ？ Participate in engineering reviews to identify improvements or modifications to existing processes.
• ？ Participate in diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
• ？ Perform equipment preventative maintenance, such as lubricating and cleaning equipment and tool sets.

Key Skills and Experience

• ？ 5+ years experience operating precision machining equipment in a prototype workshop or low volume manufacturing environment.
• ？ Experience working on products with challenging tolerances and high cosmetic requirements
• ？ CNC and/or 3D printing machine experience is preferred
• ？ Good understanding of mechanical parts manufacturing and a broad knowledge of conventional machining technology.
• ？ Experience working with a wide range of materials including fabrics, plastics, composites and metals/alloys.
• ？ Experience with finishing or secondary processes, such as polishing, painting etc. is a plus.
• ？ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and generate machining programs.
• ？ Demonstarted experience using measurement and inspection equipment such as OMM, CMM
• ？ Good machine troubleshooting experience.
• ？ Ability to communicate in English is desirable.
