Job responsibilities

• Through orchestrating the QAD team contribute to the LEGO culture and LEGO quality mindset.
• Develop and inspire QAD team members, based on a respect of each person’s characteristics and without violating their integrity, to grow personally and professionally in their positions.
• Take charge to influence the organisation in relation to have the right quality mindset.
• Take charge to support the Quality director when ever relevant. Both as coach and in relation to tasks.
• Assure and control that processes within your area are efficient, effective and in compliance with LEGO internal requirements, ISO9001 latest version and requirements related to international legislations regarding product safety. This is done in collaboration with the Central Company Quality Department.
• Participate in, contribute to and collaborate about stage setting the quality assurance strategy for Shenzhen area.
• Actively break down strategy to tactical, operational and personal goals and setup/maintain system to assure and control relevant performance indicators. And clearly communicate and assure buy in from interested parties.
• Be responsible for own personal and professional development in collaboration with the Quality director.
• Participate and drive relevant meeting and assure and control high efficiency and effectiveness.
• Deal with the internal Engineering department, buyers, suppliers and the product development department on quality and product safety in development stage
• Develop quality assurance strategy and process on product development phase
• Establish quality system / preventive action to improve the quality performance.
• To make sure the performance of the QA team is effective and efficient
• Interact with local and global team to ensure the execution and alignment is made

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Document minimum 8 years management experience in the area of quality assurance of the product development phase.
• Document achievement of management activities.
• Six Sigma Black belt certificate from acknowledged institution preferable.
• Management course certificate from acknowledged institution preferable.

Skills

• Fast thinker – fast reader
• Good at thinking out of the box – innovative
• Quality assurance experience on automotive industries (TS 16949) are preferred
• Solid Experience in Six Sigma project will be an advantage
• Solid experience in LEAN projects will be an advantage
• Possess and demonstrate high integrity, strong management, & communication skills
• Good oral and written communications skills, both in English and Chinese/Cantonese
• Good at value mapping and process descriptions.
• Audit experience preferable.
• Familiar with legalisations regarding toy product safety worldwide preferable.
• Experience in driven effective and value adding meetings.
