Position Title: Operations Engineer
Location: Shekou, China

Summary/Overview:
Provide effective production operations support for the management, monitoring and improvement of well performance, facility performance, field performance, crude loading, and all other production operation related activities.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
? Work closely with the technical team (geologists, reservoir and drilling engineers, production technologist, process engineer) to achieve production and HSE targets set by management.
? Implement chemical screening and cost effective optimization.
? Chemicals onshore and offshore inventory tracking.
? Monitor and optimize the performance of wells/facilities and fields within assigned area of responsibility.
? Investigate deviations from forecast.
? Conduct regular field operations when required.
? Develop production improvement proposals (with the Production Technologists) to achieve targeted improvements.
? Assist with the implementation of Company’s Petroleum operations and HSE standards.
? Coordinate with supply base and offshore for helicopter, vessels, and land transportation.
? Production team hand tools and consumables
? Monitoring actual ACV vs. budget, draft the operational budget for next year’s operation.
? Prepare ITB documents, evaluate technical proposal as required.
? Update of P&ID’s upon necessary, process report, HAZOP studies.
? Handle and control overhead and operating costs, provide a detailed monthly cost list.
? Make practical procedures for critical operations offshore and estimate cost, manpower and duration of each project.
? Review all Purchase Orders issued from offshore regarding offshore operations supporting, seek qualified contractors or suppliers for orders.
? Together with Procurement Department develop and implement a formal strategy to source new components and drive cost reductions. Control stock within a reasonable level, deliver purchase requisition to procurement department and confirm technical details and cost.
? Responsible for technical review and approval of technical content associated with operating procedures, first-time maintenance deferrals, set point changes and Risk Assessments within discipline.
? Provide input to MOC and participates to PHA/HAZOP, etc. as required.
? Carry out regular offshore visits with a particular focus on Process Safety Systems and audit follow-up.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences:
? Bachelor degree in petroleum process engineering or similar specialty
? Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems
? HSE awareness
? Creative, precise and innovative in finding solutions to process problems
? Knowledge of petroleum industry, exploration and production preferred

Required Competencies/Skills:
? Proficient computer skills
? Ability to maintain good working relationships with team members and Operations personnel
? Good command of spoken and written English
? Team work spirit, with initiative, can work under pressure
? Ability to work well within multi-discipline teams in the office and field environments
