Position Title: Production Engineer
Location: Shekou, China

Summary/Overview:
Develop and implement production optimization strategies, oversee workovers, production engineering support for prospective property acquisitions, and work with production foremen and field personnel on a daily basis. Will be responsible for production operations and surveillance for producing fields.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Coordination with Drilling, Completions, Reservoir Engineering, HSE, Projects, Procurement, and Finance to ensure the overall Company’s objectives and goals are met or exceeded.
2. Provide Production Engineering and technical support to the subsurface group and Drilling & Completions for all production and workover activities.
3. Conduct analysis and input for well pressure decline, pressure transients, and material balance in liaison with Reservoir Engineers.
4. Prepare and maintain well data files and well activity histories not only to support well modeling but also to identify any well workover, recompletion and stimulation requirements.
5. Generate procedures, cost estimates and schedules for workovers. Track and reconcile actual costs with forecasts.
6. Maximize the ESP runlife of each well by providing advice and guidance on the operating parameter settings and any well parameter adjustments that become necessary.
7. Conduct artificial lift optimization studies. Recommend and implement activities to ensure cost effective and maximum amounts of oil are available.
8. Develop capital and expense spending profiles for long range planning.
9. Provide support for the Management of Change process and perform Risk Assessments as required to comply with the HSE Management System.
10. Guide contract engineering resources as required assisting with the execution of projects and compliance issues.
11. Responsible for technical review and approval of technical content associated with artificial lifting, well operations and well interventions.
12. Provide input to MOC and participates to PHA/HAZOP, etc. as required.
13. Implement regular offshore visits with a particular focus on Process Safety Systems and audit follow-up.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences:
? Bachelor degree in petroleum engineering or similar specialty
? Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
? Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems
? HSE awareness and familiar ERP process
? Creative, precise and innovative in finding solutions to process problems
? Knowledge of petroleum industry, exploration and production preferred


Required Competencies/Skills:
? Proficiency in Petroleum Engineering skills including production monitoring/forecasting, artificial lift design and surveillance, well operations, well interventions.
? Proficient computer skills
? Good command of spoken and written English
? Team work spirit, with initiative, can work under pressure
? Scoping, planning and scheduling skills
? Familiarity with workover practices, procedures and design.
? Ability to maintain good working relationships with team members and Operations personnel.
? Ability to work well within multi-discipline teams in the office and field environments.
? Must have a strong commitment to safety and promoting safe work practices.
