Position Title: Materials Coordinator
Report to: Base supervisor & relevant department heads
Location: Shekou Nanshan Shenzhen, China

Summary/Overview:

a. Implement & administer all activities at company's Supply Base in safe & efficient manner. Such activities are logistics support, administration of materials & spare part, storage & warehousing activities, and other relevant activities.
b. Lead and manage all aspects of material control co-ordination and ensure the compliance of all client/company safety data.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences:

c. Minimum a diploma/Degree in either science or administration.
d. Minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas operations.
e. Experienced material controller with supervisory experience both on and off shore of managing flow of materials from requisition to installation.
f. In-depth knowledge of materials admin, supply, logistics etc. within offshore oil and gas industry.
g. Proven experience of managing stock levels.

Required Competencies/Skills:

h. Must be computer literate in applicable database/s, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to intermediate level.
i. Ability to implement and promote SHEQ policy and other regulations such as Lifting, Environmental, COSHH to the team.
j. Ability to interface with vendors, sub-contractors, clients and company Management.
k. A team worker who can also work under their own initiatives.
l. Basic knowledge of dangerous goods and what constitutes them. Capable of maintaining registers of the likes of equipment and hazardous chemicals.
m. Good command of spoken and written English.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

n. Implement the administration of all materials shipped to warehouse in accordance with purchase orders and/or contracts to ensure that they are correct and free of any overages, shortages & damage;
o. Responsible for warehouse material management and inventory control; Establish & maintain the material master cataloguing; Maintain the warehouse safety stock system; Maintain the inventory barcode label and bin location system; Implement the cycle physical inventory and internal inventory audit;
p. Coordinate and expedite flow of materials and equipment between Drilling, Operations, Construction, etc. groups within the roject (onshore & offshore) & their contractors; Implement smooth issuance of materials and equipment, taking into consideration the documentation, authorization and user's timely requirements;
q. Administer materials & equipment return from offshore i.e. verify and segregate materials and equipment for repairing, returning to contractors, etc. as per instructions on materials transfer forms / users;
r. Provide status report to base supervisor to ensure that job is progressing, highlight any potential delays, etc. ;
s. Implement / monitor that all documents pertaining to movement of materials and equipment are properly filed for audit trail purposes;
t. Actively promote cost reduction & continuous improvement with regards to base & logistics operations and HSE. Promote HSE awareness and achieve a high HSE performance.
u. Direct & supervise warehouse Material Clerk to carry out the daily safety operations;
v. Prepare regular reports (weekly / monthly) and, other reports as required; and
w. Carry out any other responsibilities that are relevant to supply base operations.
