JOB SUMMARY
Facilitate development and commercialization of frames and components manufactured in SE Asia. Service CSG Design and Product Management teams by traveling and working directly with key factories and suppliers.
PERSONAL RELATOINSHIPS
Based in Dongguan, China, with other PRC-based CSG R&D and QA staff. Reports directly to Joseph Solomon, R&D Manager - Asia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. New vendor sourcing responsibilities per division demand. Locate, evaluate and identify right suppliers per the initial vendor survey, product specifications, quality requirements, samples and/or other information provided by divisions.
2. Overall view the on going project and implement the project on time control. Responsible for vendor and division coordination.
3. Leading the new product development, cost reduction and project management & quality management which including :
? Working with divisions and suppliers to get final/approved specifications, drawings, and renderings. Collecting the product Specification, Drawing, Packing and Container Loading confirmation.
? Monitoring the overall progress of each new quote and fetch the target price.
? Communicate with project manager of division about the new project development details.
? Review BOM based on the information that division/ or vendor provided and deliver comment/suggestion/Solution for cost comparing analysis.
? Forwarding the right strategy/marketing information to each team and be sure the information exactly delivers to the right person.
? Follow-up with suppliers on the development samples to meet our requirements including sample on-time delivery
? Follow up with suppliers in the pre-production stage on samples verification with QC team in China
? Support quality team for parts & complete bike 3rd party testing before mass production
? Check the 1st production models and make sure on time delivery of 1st PO's. Work with suppliers and 2nd tier suppliers (parts makers) to resolve the delivery issue
? Pre-Production Samples confirming -
? Artwork and product functions confirmation
? Regulatory testing confirmation and 3rd party testing tracking and control
? Testing and QA review
? Issue of pre-production samples inspection report
4. Provide periodic cost tracking vendor list and project tracking report. Keep supervisor and division updated on all on-going programs
5. Monitor the vendor dynamic and periodical report to division.
6. Market intelligence, including material market cost, China Customs/Government regulation, competitors' movement.
7. Sales presentation coordination and host the consumer.
8. Participle in the price negotiation with division and vendor and responsible for the vendor contract signing base on demanding.
Other supporting to supplier Chain and Logistic
1. Manage all open orders to be booked on time and monitor daily PO booking and vessel status. Conducting the on time delivery tracking
2. Vendor COC approval
3. Collect the carton/loading dimension of new SKUs for logistic needed.
4. Logistics problem solutions.
5. New vendor settle form and vendor survey/auditing support for new suppliers
6. Guiding vendor follow Pacific Cycle procedure on shipping documents (new vendors).
JOB REQUIEMENT
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
1. College above, minimum 10 years manufacturing or trading experience on frame and/or bike accessories
2. Sufficient vendor resource and familiarity with the international business status of the brand.
3. University / College graduate or equivalent.
4. Working experience at buying office or foreign invested company is preferred.
5. Familiar with USA market will be plus
SKILLS:
1. Fluent in Chinese and English both in speaking and writing is essential.
2. Excellent leadership with good team work spirit & strategy concept generate
3. Good commercial sense, communication and negotiation skill.
4. Solid sourcing management.
5. Organized character in person for business
6. Excellent knowledge on quotation structure & price analysis
7. Computer skill for MS office, ACAD a plus
8. Good sense of market trend.
