职位描述
Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Department: R&D Department
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Job Responsibility:
- Support Sales Team to evaluate RFQ (request for quotation) and make technical proposal
- Define the product design architecture, design concepts to meet RFQ
- Customer interface throughout product development, follow and fulfill customer expectation from both objective and subjective, meanwhile drive customer using TRW product expertise
- Undertake concept designs, detailed designs and lead junior engineer to finish all product development related data, e.g 3D, 2D, BOM, DFMEA...under on time manner and high quality
- Lead DFM activity with supplier and organize design review throughout product development for both engineering internal and cross function teams
- Undertake global simple products (e.g window lift switch, push-push switch, electrical park switch) development, and responsible for new knowledge, solution and cost down proposal seeking by doing benchmark for insistence
- Supervise application activities in other regions in terms of simple products
- Undertake global complex products application in China
- Lead DFMEA for both engineering internal and cross function team external to ensure the robustness of the design
- Support prototype engineers to complete prototype builds, debugging and trouble shooting
- Fully understand test requirement from customer, and work together with test engineer for test plan creation, responsible for test failure analysis and resolution providing to improve design
- Service, support and help when required during the product development stage as well as field returns or warranty returns
- Work closely with the manufacturing department for production support activities
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned by department manager
Minimum Qualification Required:
- At least Bachelor Degree
- At least 8+ years mechanical development experience, and focus on plastic components
- At least 5+ years automotive related design experience
- At least 3+ years automotive switches or similar products development experiences
- Excellent knowledge about automotive components functions (customer and system functions)
- Master of DFMEA, Tolerance stack
- Deep knowledge of tooling is preferred
- Deep knowledge of 8D/5 phase is preferred
- Familiar with illumination, resin, grease, painting, FEA and Mold-flow analysis
- Fluent English and Chinese is a must
- Strong communication skills is preferred
- Pressure, stress tolerance and team player
