Report to Operation manager, North
General Responsibilities:
The Project engineer is responsible for oversee program management and process improvement & optimization at Evenflo and is responsible to work closely with manufacturing and the design team to optimize the product design and tooling design to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Examples of Typical Activities:
·Analyze and gather information for project development.
·Provide engineering and technical input to category manager in quotation process.
·Provide engineering input to US head office, user plant and vendor during project development.
·Act as bridge between vendors and Mattel Facilities, pass update information between user plants & D&D;
·Develop cost improvement program on new and existing project;
·Coordinate closely with selected vendor, user plant and US office to develop and maintain a new toy schedule
·Ensure production run smoothly with high efficiency and productivity
·Keep abreast of advanced technology and seek opportunity to introduce into the company
·Lead/manage multiple projects to support cost reductions of existing products utilizing a working knowledge of various thermoplastic resins, manufacturing techniques and engineering practices.
·Improve manufacturing methods through upgrade of processes and make recommendations regarding facility and product design and equipment to meet LEAN manufacturing. Support and maintain productivity and cost reduction.
·Preparation and introduction of document of IE related.
·Continue improve Molding and Process including second machining &testing fixture.
·Other work assign by supervisor.
Required Experience
·BS degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
·3-5 years hands-on infant and child-care product development.
·Know basic toy quality standard
·Strong Product Engineering, Tooling, Process experience for infant and child-care products
·Good analytical, presentation and reporting skill
Strong problem solving skill.
Required Technical Competencies
·Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
·Proficient Computer Skills (MS Office Suite)
·College education, mechanical background is better
·More than 3 years in foreign invested manufacturing company.
·Good ability of IE and LEAN Process.
·Must have strong team work spirit and Activity attitude
