职位描述

Job:
1.As the Gladiator sourcing lead in Asia, this position is expected to be the key role in developing long term business migration path as well as paving the strategic product pipeline.
2.Apply analysis of market drivers from US Product Business Team to provide a sourcing strategy driving revenue growth.
3.Establishing a process in evaluating total Whirlpool cost (including PO price, logistics, capital borrowing) and identify non-value added processes to continuously maintain competitive edge.
4.Lead sourcing initiatives in exploring, identifying and developing new suppliers. Apply procurement competencies to define supplier requirements.
5.Being part of the Gladiator team this position will be located at the Gladiator engineering area and manages sourcing projects with close interaction with Gladiator engineering team.
6.Develop and benchmark best practices in crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs.
7.Develop, manage continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service as well as price.
8.Needs to interpret and communicates supplier information such as financial health, capabilities and technologies, and capacity, supports benchmarking activities, and supplies competitive industry analysis.
9.Identify and analyze basic commodity industry drivers to determine trends and make informed decisions/recommendations.
10.Plan and work with the regions, engineering, business team, and suppliers to deliver products in order to meet product quality, timing, cost, and delivery.
11.Establish appropriate goals for annual total cost productivity, commodity spend, supplier footprint, supplier evaluation, development and performance, and new product sourcing
12.Work with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and expedite implementation of process,design, quality and cost improvements.


Requirement:
1.The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials management/procurement, business administration, or equivalent. An MS in Engineering, an MBA, and /or formal supply management certification are a plus.
2.3~8 years of demonstrated performance in technical competencies of procurement, engineering, finance, and/or operations are required. Working knowledge of other functions such as accounting and planning is desired.
3.Proven leadership in identifying hidden opportunities and taking initiative and ownership, following things through.
4.Must be able to evaluate suppliers’ engineering/product development capability as well as manufacturing competencies and give his/her recommendation in leading sourcing initiatives.
5.The candidate shall have the ability to read, understand engineering concept and has the acumen in associating design feature with cost impact.
6.A thorough understanding and experienced in implementing strategic purchasing relationships with suppliers. Must have proven negotiation, persuasion and problem solving skills. The candidate must be able to travel to suppliers and conferences around the world as needed.
7.A strong knowledge of product and process development techniques (C2C) and supply chain management, preferably through contribution to new product launches.
8.Strong understanding of financial analysis and supplier cost drivers is required.
9.Strong project management skills in a global environment
10.Supplier Quality Management is a strong plus.
11.Communicates effectively cross all levels (from junior product designer to General Manager).
12.The candidate must be fluent in verbal and written English and Mandarin and be able to work across culturally diverse environment. Fluency in one or more languages beyond English and Mandarin is highly desired.
13.The position also requires the ability to communicate across all levels of management effectively. Strong, demonstrated communication and team-building skills are required. Intercultural/International experience is required.
