Job Responsibilities:

Works with service providers technical resources to make and implement productivity, throughput and capacity solutions that maximize gain share opportunity, improve service and speed to market and maintain capacity and flexibility in Asian supply chain
Analyzes methods and procedures of current operations to develop standards and best practices for warehouse operations leveraging engineering techniques and experience from North America and European operations and Global Engineering Services.
Ensures that all standards and best practices are consistently applied across the Asia distribution network and updated as necessary through monitoring of KVIs and visiting facilities on a regular basis
Determines and drives annual productivity targets in all DCs, ensures accurate and timely distribution of DC productivity information and recommendations for continuous improvement across the region
Manages design, and ROI evaluations of all material handling system and capital expenditures based on capacity throughput , labor savings, and facility design
Develops annual operating plans for DCs in conjunction with in-market Logistics Directors and service providers with a focus on developing engineering capability throughout the region
Develop and manage the growth of engineering/technical resources in the Asia region to support the growth of end to end supply chain in the region. Manages responsibilities and tasks of all engineering resources in the Asia region
Identify and develop cost reduction opportunities in end to end supply chain including sourcing, transportation, regionalization, and stores for Asia Region by applying logistics engineering techniques and practices keeping in mind the value of speed to market and service to stores.
Understand and leverage the Warehouse management systems and Gap corporate systems to analyze trends within the facilities and identify opportunities in inventory, SKU management, and capacity
Review and develop system enhancements for warehouse management systems to best utilize existing technology managing our warehouses

Requirements:

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Demonstrates ability to carry out Industrial Engineering assignments of a broad nature while exercising considerable judgment and expertise of the business needs in Asia
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to influence others, work as part of a team and drive change
Minimum educational level and experience
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering
10 years of related work experience
Strong knowledge of distribution operating systems
