Laminate Commodity Manager/Sourcing Manager

Job Output:
This position is responsible for the sourcing and identification of laminate flooring products that meet the needs of the Company Flooring Products’ (AFP) Product Management Teams and their customers.

Key Process (Ownership/Participation):
? Global management of current Sourced Suppliers, insuring the products quality, cost and on-time delivery
? Expanding current supplier base to reduce risks and improve product portfolio
? Negotiating contracts / terms with the Sourced Suppliers
? Insuring suppliers meet Company's environmental and sustainability requirements
? Working with suppliers to insure a steady flow of new product concepts that can be presented to the Product Management Teams
? Attending and participating in trade shows, industry product shows, etc. to insure that Company is participating at the leading edge of new product innovation and introduction
? Integrating, understanding and anticipating the wants and needs of our Customers, Distributors and Sales organization
? Integrating and understanding the direction and recommendations coming from the AFP Product Styling & Design organization

Value Added Activities:

Education & Work Experience:
? At least 5 years of progressive commodity sourcing and procurement experience. 6 to 8 years would be ideal.
? Bachelor's degree in relevant field from an accredited university.
? Proficient in Mandarin and English.
? Previous experience of at least 3 years with a foreign multinational corporation based in China.
? Proven track record of success in cost reduction and productivity improvement using innovative approaches to Supply Chain Management.
? Expertise in supplier selection, supplier management and a track record of success in cost reductions and supplier quality management.
? Proven hands-on experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
? High degree of integrity.
? Collaborative team work style.
