The Position:

This position is a hands-on implementation specialist, who must be capable of technical configuration and development, in addition to customer-facing activities. He/she will report to the Solutions Director, but will also require responding to and following a Senior Consultant (and/or Project Manager)’s direction for relevant project work.

Main Purpose of the role:

As a Consultant, you will participate in, and on some occasions, act as the primary technical resource for SDL WorldServer and GroupShare post-sales delivery, as part of the GIM (Global Information Management) Enterprise framework.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as a primary technical consultant of requirement analysis, solutions design and deployment process.
• Act as a primary implementer of relevant product delivery project; installation, configuration, user training, and project management.
• Maintain customer satisfaction; direct client interaction. Provide regular updates, escalation and feedback to management.
• Execute and advocate best practices; follow established process methodologies for managing scope and risk during project implementations.
• Developing abilities to eventually become an expert in localization, implementation methodology, and project management; also includes progressive path to assist with pre-sales, scoping, solutions development and more.

Skill and Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, such as Computer Science or Engineering, is preferred (or demonstrated equivalent).
• At least two years of hands-on experience and demonstration of strong knowledge and relevant syntax for Java, .NET, SQL, XML, HTML, and Unix and Windows platforms are required.
• Experience in localization technologies such as text analysis and processing, translation memory, XLIFF, etc.
• Experience with a standard software implementation methodology, modeling methodology and project planning is preferred.
• Excellent Mandarin and English written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented people with interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to withstand working in multiple intense projects simultaneously. Must enjoy working with clients and staff at many different levels.
• Ability to travel 40-50% nationally and internationally.

Desirable but not essential experience and knowledge:

• Experience in Globalization / Internationalization, business analysis and project management in a technology related capacity.
• International company working experience.
