Position: Senior Mechanical Designer
The Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for providing mechanical design services and vendor design management.

Robust and manufacturable mechanical designs for PCH client,s products Maintaining and developing Mechanical data control systems that meet the requirements of both the Product Development and Production areas of PCH Participating in the PCH Engineering Change process. Keeping up to date with mechanical design, tooling and material technologies Working with key Material and tooling suppliers both in Asia and Overseas Working with the Hardware and PCB layout engineers to ensure the best hardware solutions are achieved for new products

Functional Outcomes
Robust, manufacturable mechanical designs for PCH client products that meet all the hardware performance requirements specified Timely tooling of components in co-operation with Tooling Engineers which support the overall project schedules Proactive participation in cross-functional product development teams. Innovative product design Coordination with Production staff including SMT, Test Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production Engineering to ensure all mechanical design data meets manufacturing requirements for Quality, Accuracy and Delivery.
Qualifications and Personal AttributesMinimum requirements
5-10yrs experience in new product development and manufacture. Excellent mechanical 3D CAD design skills. (ProE/SolidWorks)
Experience of MS Project, Excel, Word, AutoCAD

Engineering Qualifications desirable Experienced in managing Tooling Contractors Experience with Product Data Management Systems (PDM) Able to lead and participate in a small and focused Technical Team Experience in both Product Development and Manufacturing Good Communication Skills Able to work effectively in a multiple project environment Client focused Able to work in a fast paced environment where priorities can change at short notice.
Reporting Relationships:
Direct functional reporting will be to the Client Team Manager.Objectives will be set in line with overall engineering group development roadmap. Performance will be reviewed after 6 months and annually thereafter.
