SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As a Senior Project Manager at Radio Systems Corporation, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of complex projects. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Your primary responsibility is to lead project teams to successfully develop and deliver new products to the market. Your responsibilities also include managing sustaining and cost reduction projects. You will foster effective collaboration and communication to engage business categories, engineering, supplier management, customer service, contract manufacturers, and development partners as required to complete projects. You have a meticulous level of organization and documentation and will ensure teammates are provided requirements, resources, and a set of expectations to complete projects on time and within budget. Managing change inside projects and within the organization (the people side of change) with clarity, and unbiased, will be expected of this role. You may work with external implementation partners to ensure projects or tasks are executed according to briefs and strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be a gate keeper of RSC processes.
Define and manage assigned projects objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met while adhering to processes.
Continuously evaluate, and communicate, risks and impacts on projects, developing mitigation plans where necessary, and driving key decisions.
Create robust and realistic cost/budget documents.
Be a Master of your data: knowing the intimate details (timings, key milestones, budgets, resourcing, risks, etc.).
Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct project reviews, retrospectives, and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve program management processes.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure coordination, collaboration, and alignment across multiple projects.
Lead and manage multi-discipline project teams for large complex company-wide or inter-departmental projects having considerable scope and impact.
Lead and manage multiple NPD (Horizon Level 1, 2 or 3) and Sustaining Projects thru full Project Life Cycle ensuring key milestones are met.
Coordinate pre-pilot with Contract Manufacturer for entire project team (i.e. Category Management, Marketing, Engineering, ATE Team, Quality, etc.) as needed to support regulatory tests, functional tests, IHUTs, packaging tests, etc.
Coordinate documentation including assembly procedures and test procedures.
Coordinate between Legal and Engineering Department to execute the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by developing products with a goal of patentable designs which provide market advantage while ensuring products do not infringe on competitor’s patents.
Travel to supplier, fabricator, or contact manufacturer location in order to understand and resolve issues (production or otherwise) as required.
Ensure each project is documented correctly and work with Supply Management to prepare the contract manufacturer for pre-pilot, pilot, and production orders.
Coordinate pre-pilot with Contract Manufacturer for entire project team (i.e. Category Management, Marketing, Engineering, ATE Team, Quality, etc.) as needed to support regulatory tests, functional tests, IHUTs, packaging tests, etc.
Develop and Drive project management strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor and coach project manager and junior project managers, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and expertise.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors; Be positive and a force for good in the team – even when faced with difficult problems. Be solutions focused.
Be ok with change.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management.
Qualifications:
7+ years of project management experience, successfully leading and delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience implementing change, and knowledge of organizational development methodologies and practices.
Strong technical aptitude in electronic and IOT consumer packaged goods
Strong analytical aptitude (ability to mine, interpret, and communicate data)
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
Solid foundation of budget management, resource allocation, and risk management.
Experience working with remote and global teammates.
Experience managing and negotiating with external partners (Agents, talent, vendors)
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong desire to learn and grow.
Has excellent computer skills including proficiency with common office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project, and Oracle.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education in in Human Sciences, Engineering, or another relevant field.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
For Chinese office – English and Mandarin Chinese are both mandatory.
Will and able to travel both domestically and internationally around to 10%-20%.
