Principle Tasks:
This is a global position. In this job position the experienced engineer will be responsible for the manufacturing test strategy. This person will be responsible for all the WDM & Ethernet products PCBA level test flow chart design.
1. Generic test concepts for Ethernet and WDM products.
2. Define the decision making matrix for PCBA level test approaches: AOI, 2DX, AXI, Flying probe, ICT, Boundary Scan, etc.
3. Keep focusing on structural test new technology.
4. Document the test concept “PCBA test strategy” section by working closely with the R&D and NPI, OPS departments.
5. Setup JTAG capability and as the owner to roll out.
6. Provide training to other departments to help them understand the structural test.
7. Work with the contract manufacturer to resolve any PCBA test issues that may arise.
8. Suggest process or test implementation improvements that will result in higher quality of test solutions.

Supplementary Tasks:
1. Work with test engineers to learn how to write functional test program.

Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience:
General:
1. Qualification – Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical, Telecom Engineering.
2. Qualification – Engineering background for telecommunication or comparable products manufacturing area
3. Qualification – Minimum 4 years relevant work experience, preferably in an EMS environment.
4. Personal Skill – Good written and spoken English
5. Personal Skill – Understanding of European culture and ways of doing business.
6. Personal Skill – Good interpersonal and communication skills

Manufacture Test:
1. Experience – Manufacture Test Expert in PCBA level.
2. Experience – Deep understanding of at least 3 test approaches in AOI, AXI, ICT, Flying Probe, JTAG, Backplane testing. Etc.
3. Experience – Understanding of DFM, DFT, and manufacturing process.
4. Experience – In high volume manufacturing test design and manufacturing.

Hardware:
1. Personal Skill – Capability to read and understand hardware circuit schematics, CAD files and IC data sheets, is strongly preferred.

Software:
1. Experience – Knowledge in VC++, C# or C is preferred.

Success Criteria:
1. Take over all aspects of structural test project.
2. Keep up to the minute knowledge of progress on all open issues, and be able to match them up with the needs of the project.
3. Ability to overcome language and cultural barriers
4. Ability to produce consistent quality under pressure
5. Ability to create and maintain close working relationships as part of a team
