Principle Tasks:
Responsibilities: The Packing Supply Base Engineer (SBE) will work globally to provide packing solution and support for ADVA global supply chain. The packing SBE will drive alignment between ADVA internal packing requirement and packing supplier’s capabilities. Dedicated to driving and consolidating our packing supply base by assuring ADVA receives the best total value for all packing material and services.
1. Create ,maintain and roll out the packing standard and guideline.
2. Provide the suitable packing solution for new product and get it verification before mass production.
3. Evaluate and introduce the new packing material/technology into ADVA
4. Manage and review contract manufacturers and main suppliers packing solution.
5. Review and optimize the logistic centre system level packing solution
6. Review and optimize existing packing solution for cost saving.
7. Understand the environment protection law/regulation related to product packing and assure the product packing compliance
8. Drive Preferred Vendor List (PVL) adherence for packing supplier, identifying opportunities to leverage PVL suppliers for new sourcing projects
9. Drive Approved Vendor List for packing suppliers; approving all additions, changes, deletions and communicate changes to outsource suppliers
10. Drive packing supplier development for ADVA performance and technology needs..
11. Responsible to ensure Supplier adherence to implementing ADVA defined specification, processes and procedures.

Supplementary Tasks:
1. Provide product and technical training to others as needed.
2. Support SBE Manager with
3. Evaluate packing supplier manufacturing cost including tooling and equipment for new/transferred products
4.Support advancements in NPI Processes, tools and reporting

Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years related packaging experience in electronic products
2. Be familiar with different packing material/technology
3. Be able to use relevant designing software: like CAD
4. Project management experience and skill will be preference
5. Bachelor degree or above. Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or packing related
6. Self-motivation and team work player.
7. Open, honest, loyal
8. Ability to lead and impact/influence in cross-functional, global teams, including willingness to stand
9. Strong combination of business and technical knowledge base
10. Advanced analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities
11. Fine-tuned communications skills (both written and verbal) Fluent written and spoken English
